Denis Design Studio (DDS) is an art and design practice established in the Winter of 2021 by founding principal, Dominique Denis. DDS provides design and cultural consulting services to individual clients, architectural firms, cultural institutions and government agencies involved in projects with high community impact.

Dominique Denis is trained as an architect and has over two decades of combined experience in architecture, urban planning and public art curating. She has worked for several architectural firms in the New York metropolitan area and South Florida. For the past few years, her experience working with artists, architects, engineers and other design professionals has introduced her to the world of cross-disciplinary collaboration and community engagement, which is at the base of her studio practice. In 2020, she established the conceptual framework and curated the exhibition: The Porch is the Tree is the Watering Hole and co-presented a session about the making of the exhibition at the 2021 Association of African American Museums virtual conference, The exhibition was featured in the Architect’s Newspaper’s What to See in 2021 column. Ms. Denis’ work Fragments, 2022, was exhibited at the Far Gallery, Fat Village, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the Spring, 2022, Florida and at the Arts Warehouse, Delray Beach, Florida in the Summer, 2022. She is currently conducting a multi-phase research exploring the unconscious collective memory and its impact on space planning.

Ms. Denis holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the City College of the City University of New York and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University. She is also an alumna of the 2017, AIA Miami, Chistopher Kelly Leadership Development Program. She has been a resident artist at the Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach since Fall 2022.
